Epoxy tile grout is a type of grout made from epoxy resins and a filler powder. It is different from traditional cement-based grout in several key ways:

  1. Durability: Epoxy grout is highly resistant to stains, chemicals, and cracking, making it extremely durable compared to cement-based grout

  2. Waterproofing: It is non-porous and waterproof, making it ideal for use in areas exposed to water, such as kitchens, bathrooms, and swimming pools.

  3. Stain Resistance: Due to its non-porous nature, epoxy grout is resistant to stains from food, oils, and other substances that could discolor traditional grout.

  4. Strength: Epoxy grout cures to a very hard and strong finish, which is beneficial for high-traffic or heavy-use areas.

  5. Aesthetic Flexibility: Epoxy grout comes in a variety of colors and finishes, including glossy options, which can enhance the appearance of tile installations.

However, working with epoxy grout can be more challenging than cement-based grout due to its sticky texture and fast curing time. It often requires more effort to apply and clean, so it’s important to follow manufacturer instructions carefully.
